Meet the Team


  • Ceramic artist/Teacher

    Gemma has ran the studio at Parndon Mill for the last 3 years and has been teaching beginners and intermediate courses for the 5 years in different studios across London and Europe. She carries a BA in Ceramic Design from Central Saint Martins and has been trained in wheel throwing internationally. Specialising in wood fired ceramics Gemma’s work ranges from large scale thrown vessels to sculptural works. Gemma’s work is available to buy at the studio.

  • Teacher/ Maker

    Zara is a maker and a wheel throwing teacher in the studio. Zara has studied and worked in the ceramics industry for the last 7 years and has a lot of experience teaching and creating beautiful ceramics. Zara’s ceramics are beautfully illustrated, glazed and built. Keep up with Zara’s work here.

  • Studio Assistant/ technician

    Sarah currently is studying and specialising in ceramics. Most recently trained at Parndon Mill to do technician and assistant work Sarah has good knowledge on the studio glazes. Her work varies from handbuilt sculptures to wheel thrown vessels.

    Allison is a previous student and volunteer at the studio. Keeping ontop of organising and full of new ideas Allison is a wonderful new member of the team.
